We have a number of Windows servers that have not been patched in a long time. They are control system servers so they are not connected to the web. By recent one did you mean MS? If there are prerequisites you'll get something similar to "not applicable". In the catalog under version, it says "not applicable". Does this mean there are prerequisites? You can simply try installing it. If there are prerequisites then the install may abort with "not applicable".
